An Invitation to Collaborators & Presenters

The Vision:

DruidFest is a journey through a living triple spiral.

The first spiral carries us from the everyday world of Nyack into the wild, from village streets to river cliffs and forest.

The second spiral opens at Nyack Beach State Park and unfolds through the Druid lens of Land, Sea, and Sky, to the Plateau rising to the air, the Boathouse resting beside the Hudson, and the living terrain that holds us all.

The third spiral moves through the Elements themselves, the open Air on the Plateau, Water in relationship with the river, Earth beneath our feet, and Fire as the closing invocation at dusk.

These spirals do not sit side by side. They turn through one another and each movement deepens the experience. And by day’s end, what began as a gathering becomes a lived passage of our participants.

The details:

The journey begins at Modern Druid, our Threshold in the village of Nyack. Here, guests consciously step out of ordinary time. They receive their Passage and cross into the day together.

From there, they walk a short block to the Great Lawn at Memorial Park, where the Commons ‘Vendor Village’ comes alive with artisans, music, conversation, and the first weaving of community in open air.

At regular intervals, large coach buses carry participants from town to Nyack Beach State Park, completing an eight-minute passage from built environment to wilderness. The transportation itself is intentional: a collective transition from the civic world into the landscape.

Once inside the park, the spiral deepens.

Mini shuttles move continuously along the terrain — up to the Plateau and down to the Boathouse — tracing the arc between Sky and Sea.

The Plateau — Sky / Air

An open-air gathering space where ideas rise, stories are spoken, music travels on wind, and teachings unfold in relationship with horizon and cliff. Here we host educational talks, hands-on demonstrations, storytelling, music, and performance in the spirit of an eisteddfod — celebrating craft, ecological knowledge, culture and creative expression.

The Boathouse — Sea / Water

Resting beside the Hudson River, this space holds a Living Altar with contemplative offerings, healing work, and quieter encounters. Water becomes witness. Reflection becomes practice. (And it’s our back up to the Plateau in case of rain).

Between Sky and Sea, the Land holds everything — the red cliffs, the forest and wildlife, the ground beneath our feet. It is not backdrop, it is participant.

As day leans toward dusk, we gather for Fire: a closing ceremony that calls the elements into presence and completes the arc.

⸻

For collaborators and presenters, DruidFest offers more than a scheduled appearance.

It offers placement within a carefully structured journey — one rooted in place, movement, and intention. Your work becomes part of a larger pattern that carries participants from threshold to horizon, from water to flame.

We are seeking educators, artists, musicians, storytellers, ritualists, and craftspeople and more whose offerings resonate with land, inspire participation, and contribute to a gathering that is both grounded and visionary.

If you feel called to contribute your content and presence — not only expertise, but relationship — we welcome the conversation.

In the love of all Existences,

Morgana

Modern Druid
